The teens of St. Colette’s build Church by: Serving our Parish Family and evangelizing others to the hope that is Jesus. Through the help of the Holy Spirit, we as young leaders must provide an example of service and love to all we encounter. It is through our involvement in liturgy and in service to those in our parish and community, that we are an example of Jesus’ teachings. As we continue a new chapter in our parish, we pray that our energy will help create a faith filled community as Disciples of Christ ........... (Composed by the teens of St. Colette’s)
It’s Hard to Say Good-bye!
All of the FOCUS Teens, Parents and Adult Leaders thank Karen Carnevale for her dedication over the past two and half years to the FOCUS Teen Ministry. Karen has grown up in our faith-filled community attending St. Colette’s School through eighth grade. Then, it was off to Rolling Meadows High School where she made her mark academically and in swimming. During this time Karen joined the FOCUS ministry, was a Peer Minister, participated in many activities, service opportunities, NCYC, and excelled as a Teen Lector. After graduating from RMHS, it was off to Notre Dame University. Once again, she excelled and after earning her degree she came back home to Rolling Meadows and St. Colette’s. Karen immediately became involved at St. Colette’s and resumed her place as an outstanding Lector. Our FOCUS Ministry has been blessed by the positive energy Karen brought when she joined the FOCUS Planning Team. She became involved as a Home Group Leader and related so well to the teens. The time and energy Karen has put into the FOCUS ministry over the past couple years has been immeasurable. Her creative ideas, welcoming smile and steadfast faith have inspired our teens. Karen has been a wonderful rolemodel for our teens at St. Colette’s as an example of really living her faith. Karen, we the St. Colette Family congratulate you on the success you have enjoyed in your position with AT&T, as well as your recent promotion. We sincerely thank you for your dedication and for the love you have shown towards those in our Parish; and, especially to our teens. We pray that God blesses you in your new endeavor and provides you with strength to go forth and embrace the wonderful opportunities that await you. Your biggest Fans, the FOCUS Teens and Leaders.
