  • Wednesday Afternoon:  Grades 1 – 6 meet three times a month beginning in early September (after Labor Day) through the month of April.  Class begins at 5PM and ends at 6:30 PM.
  • Thursday Evening:  Grades 1 – 6 meet three times a month beginning in early September (after Labor Day) through the month of April.  Class begins at 6 PM and ends at 7:30 PM.

Parents of students in Grades 7 and 8 are asked to enroll their students for the Sunday Evening sessions that meet twice a month from 6 - 8 PM.  Classes begin after Labor Day in September and run through the month of April.

Additional Educational Programs
Transition Class:  Students who have not been in religious education for a few years will be asked to be enrolled in a Transition Class.  These classes are designed to fill in the gaps of religious education missed over the years.  In these classes, two textbooks are used as a framework for catechesis.  Our Catholic Faith by Sadlier Publications covers a broad spectrum of faith including the sacraments, the Mass, and the Ten Commandments. The We Believe textbook, also by Sadlier, is used for the last half of the year which covers the beginning of bible study.  Currently, these classes are offered on Saturday mornings.

Children’s Catechumenate
RCIA for Children:  Parents of any child 6 years of age or over seeking to be baptized in the Catholic faith, should call the SHARE FAITH Office to begin the process of classes to prepare the child for the reception of both Baptism and 1st Eucharist (Communion).  Classes begin in January with just the parents and if possible prospective the godparents.  After two sessions with the adults of the family, classes then continue with the child included.  At the end of preparation classes, the child receives both the sacrament of Baptism and 1st Eucharist at the Easter Vigil.

Registration
Grade 1:  Registration for incoming 1st graders for the 2011-2012 school year begins April 1st.  When registering, please bring a copy of the child’s baptismal certificate.  Registration for classes continues throughout the spring and summer until the first month of classes in September.  Come to the Religious Education Office to register.
